So here we are again - another new year and more resolutions. Did you know that 1 in every 3 Australians make a list of resolutions but less than 10 % carry them past February? The success rate is not great, so if you’re going to make any New Year resolutions, be realistic with your goals resolutions. Make them become part of your life, a habit, not just for a a few weeks or a month. Here's a few top resolutions and how you can make them stick:
1. Be healthier, eat better and lose weight
Well technically that’s 3 resolutions, but if you start to eat better you will become healthier and you will lose weight…well done! Now that’s simplifying things, it’s a 3 in one win, win, tick!
2. Get fitter
And guess what? You know the answer - it helps with resolution number 1: weight loss and being healthier. Coupled to that the healthy eating helps with energy and you will feel oh so much better! 3. I want to look after my body
Now that’s another resolution many wish for but we have really covered that above so you can tick that off the list.

5. I want to feel happier
Definitely tick this one if you are doing the healthy eating thing and the exercise as research shows you increase your endorphins, which make you feel happier and able to cope better. A double whammy of super benefits, so a really big tick here.
6. I want to have more energy as I always feel tired
Well hello! Do the healthy lifestyle, feel happier, lose weight, eat better and guess what? Bingo! More energy to go. Tick, tick and tick!
So there you have it in a nutshell. Take it easy and don’t try to do too much all at once. Rome wasn’t built in a day. After all you have got a whole 12 months, so start slowly. Remember the race between the hare and the tortoise? The tortoise won, so go slow and steady and you will make changes to be a better, healthier and happier you!
